Poliyap Prepares to Commission Its Second Production Facility

Providing services to the construction sector with acrylic and modified acrylic sheet products, Poliyap laid the foundations of its second facility located in Düzce Gümüşova OSB. Poliyap General Manager Gamze Aydın, whom we got information about the company and its products, says that they aim to maximize product quality by moving to their new facility as soon as possible.

Operating since 1995 in its facility in Çayırova, Poliyap laid the foundations of a second facility in Düzce Gümüşova OSB in order to provide better service to its customers with its recent investments. Poliyap, whose field of activity is the production of acrylic and modified acrylic sheets, works in parallel with the construction sector. Can you give information about Poliyap products and product groups? What are the general features of the products and their advantages over their competitors?

Poliyap Plastic Chemistry includes Polakril brand sheet, sink and washbasin based on acrylic (PMMA) resin, as well as Poliyap modified acrylic sheet, sink and washbasin product groups based on polyester resin (+10% acrylic). Poliyap is a manufacturer company. In this way, compared to its competitors, it can work in special colors requested in projects and provides fast turnaround to orders regardless of the number of orders. In order for customers to minimize waste during the application process of the products, production can be made in special sizes. Another advantage over its competitors is that it can produce marble-like acrylic sheets, which have been in high demand recently. In this way, it saves domestic consumers from having to buy imported products. At the same time, it has increased its exports more in recent years by selling high quality and reasonable prices in the foreign market.

Can you give detailed information about Poliyap Solid Surface products? What are their advantages? Where are they used? Which features are preferred?

Solid Surface is a surface material that is non-porous and homogeneous from beginning to end. Thanks to the absence of any pores on the surface, it does not hold dirt, does not absorb and does not contain microbes and bacteria. It contains 35 percent acrylic resin (polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA) and 60-65 percent aluminum trihydroxide known as ATH.

ATH is produced from bauxite mineral found in nature. Thanks to its 35 percent molecular water content, it forms water vapor at 300 oC and prevents combustion by cutting contact with oxygen. In this way, Polakril Solid Surface sheets are fireproof products.

In addition, PMMA and ATH mixture is a very suitable material for human health as it is used by dentists in prosthesis applications.

Due to its flexible structure and suitability for heat treatment
